Fairy

Fairies are tiny beings that look like winged humans. They are only about a foot tall, though height can vary among the dozens of fairy species. Fairies love tricking the bigfolk, with some being playful while others are cruel. Their speech sounds like the tinkle of bells.

Traits

Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 4, and your Charisma score increases by 2. Your Strength score decreases by 6.

Age. A fairy is an adult by the time they are two years old. Few live longer than 15 years.

Alignment. Fairies are spirited and venturesome, and rules easily annoy them. They love pranks but are rarely cruel. Most are chaotic neutral.

Rarity. Uncommon.

Size. Fairies stand about 1 foot tall and weigh a few pounds. Your size is Tiny.

Speed. Your base walking speed is 20 feet. You have a flying speed of 40 feet.

Enchantment Resistant. You can add your proficiency bonus to saving throws against being charmed or frightened, as well as to any saving throw against magic that changes your behavior. If you have proficiency in such a saving throw, your proficiency bonus with it is doubled for these purposes.

Elusive. You can use a bonus action to take the Dodge or Disengage action.

Fairy Gear. You can’t use equipment sized for larger creatures. If you throw an item, such as alchemist’s fire, you need two hands to do so, and you halve the range.

Fairy Weapons. You can gain proficiency in and can wield only blowguns, darts, slings, and weapons that have the light property. You can also use a shortbow, but one sized for you deals only 1 d4 damage. All these weapons require two hands for you to use effectively. If you throw one of these weapons, halve its ranges.

Fragile. At 1st level, your hit point maximum decreases by 1, and it decreases by 1 every time you gain a level thereafter.

Keen Senses. You have proficiency in the Perception skill.

Tinkle of Bells. As an action, you can alter your voice so that only fey and other creatures of your choice can understand your speech, provided they can hear you and understand the language you’re speaking. Those unable to understand you hear only soft ringing as you speak. This effect lasts until the end of your next turn.

Tiny Trickster. You have proficiency in the Stealth skill. In addition, you can attempt to hide when only lightly obscured or when obscured only by a creature larger than you. You can also move through the space of any creature larger than you.

Weak Leverage. You have disadvantage on Strength checks to manipulate creatures and objects larger than you.

Languages. You speak, read, and write Common and Fae.
